11 million Fisher Price products recalled
Today, Fischer Price recalled almost 11 million of its products after being called dangerous by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recalled products include 7 million tricycles, 1 million high chairs and more than 100,000 plastic cars.
The CPSC determined the products were dangerous after 10 reports of serious injury from the tricycles. Some parents reported children becoming injured from a protruding plastic ignition key. High chairs were found to be dangerous after reports of children injuring themselves by falling onto pegs on the rear legs of the chairs. Lastly, the plastic cars were recalled after reports that the wheels could detach easily and pose a chocking hazard to children.
