One killed in motorcycle accident

One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on U.S. 131 in Grand Rapids, Mich.

According to officials, a father and son were traveling together on separate motorcycles when the father’s bike reportedly hit the back of his son’s bike causing it to veer off the road and hit a guardrail. The father was ejected off of his bike on impact while the son managed to control his motorcycle.

The 59-year-old father was transported to the hospital for treatment, but his injuries proved to be fatal and he was pronounced dead the next day.

Motorcycle accidents can happen suddenly and can cause serious injury. They are very traumatic for all involved, our thoughts are with the family of the victim.
