A man was walking with two other people when he sat down on a train track in near Wayland. After he sat down, he was struck and killed in a train accident.

Witnesses told police that the train honked his horn and the man either ignored it or did not hear it. The man was struck by a northbound multi-car train. The train tried different ways to stop before reaching the man, but it was unsuccessful. The two people with the man also tried to administer first aid to the man.
