A teenager was killed in a one-car accident after he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree.
According to Michigan State Police, the 17-year-old was driving east when he lost control of the vehicle on a gravel road. After the car left the road, it crashed into a tree and caught fire. The car was totaled and the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews. Further details of the accident are still investigated.

Two Detroit students were killed in a car accident hours after graduation. Two others involved in the accident were injured.
High school classmates are now mourning the loss of their friends and classmates. One student was driving and their vehicle crashed into the side of an abandoned church just blocks away from the high school.
Two of the teens are currently recovering in the hospital. One of them is in good condition and one of them is in fair condition. A fund has been set up for the families of the victim.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration has awarded the Clark Construction Company an award for outstanding safety.
The company has gone more than nine years without a lost time accident. The award was given to the CEO of the company at MIOSHA’s annual meeting. A woman was traveling northbound when her car was struck by a police car that was traveling west.
According to the woman, the police car was going through the light when the police car hit her causing her to spin in circles before coming to a stop.
The two police officers in the vehicle were transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. The woman and her 18-year-old son were treated at the scene. An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the accident.

Two people were taken to the hospital after an accident between a car and a truck at the corner of 7 mile and Sussex on April 14.
The crash happened at 4 a.m. when a car and pickup truck slammed into each other at an intersection. Police say that officers were advised of a reckless driver in the area and were following the truck, but the driver then sped away.
The police officer then activated his lights and moments later the pickup truck slammed into the car. After the accident, the driver of the car was in critical condition and the suspect, who was driving the truck, was in serious condition.
