A 23-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury after she was struck by a motor vehicle and dragged on the side of the vehicle as the driver attempted to flee the scene of the accident.
The woman was standing by her non-working vehicle in Connecticut when a 53-year-old driver crashed into her. The woman became lodged into the fender on the driver’s side. She yelled at the driver, and even repeatedly hit him, in order for him to slow down and let her become unattached from the vehicle.
The driver did not stop, and the woman was only freed when she eventually fell off of the car, straight onto the roadway. She sustained a head injury in the fall. The driver now faces numerous charges, including reckless endangerment.

This past Friday, one person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a tragic pedestrian accident in Detroit’s northwest side. The hit-and-run accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on West Seven Mile Road, according to Detroit police.
The victims, women ages 53 and 41, were crossing West Seven Mile Road near Prevost Street when they were hit by a vehicle that did not stop, but continued traveling north on Prevost. According to the Michigan State Police, the accident occurred Tuesday at 11 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV hit the woman while she walked down the roadway.

Over the weekend, a man was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident while he was trying to find his dog.
According to local police, the accident occurred as the 64-year-old man was walking around looking for his dog that had run away. A pickup driver then struck the man around 10:30 a.m and immediately left the scene.
Police investigators found a small, black mirror that allegedly fell from the truck. They continue to search for the driver involved in the crash.

A man was killed after being struck while walking on I-75 in Oakland County this morning.
According to police, the 31-year-old man was initially hit by a semi-truck while he was walking southbound on I-75. After the initial collision he was then struck by other vehicles.
He was found dead by police a mile and half from the initial crash site. He was crossing the roadway from one side to the other. Witnesses have said that the man was wearing dark clothing and there was low lighting in the area. The truck driver said that he was unaware that he had even struck someone.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on East Michigan Ave.
The accident occurred on the 500 block of the roadway as the 16-year-old teen was driving a Cadillac down the roadway and struck the 53-year-old pedestrian.
Police officers caught up with the teen on North Prospect Street and he told police that he did not know that he had hit a person. There was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. They detained the young driver until he was later released to a parent.
The victim suffered from non-life threatening injuries and charges are still pending at this time awaiting the investigation of the incident.

16-year old Landon Carl Hochstetler of Ogema, Minnesota was roller blading along Highway 34 near Strawberry Lake last Monday when he was hit by a car.
Hochstetler and a friend were roller blading near the westbound lanes of the highway when a vehicle driven by 30-year old Ross Thomas Dodd hit him. According to officials from Becker County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 8 PM when Dodd, also traveling westbound, struck Hochstetler and then continued into a ditch in order to try to avoid the teens.
Hochstetler suffered serious injuries in the pedestrian accident and was airlifted from a Detroit Lakes hospital to the ICU at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. Later reports state that Hochstetler is now in stable condition.
Dodd was driving without a valid driver’s license.

According to state police, two men were killed in a pedestrian accident just north of Detroit on September 12.The accident occurred on Interstate 75 as the two men were walking on the northbound side at 2 a.m.
Emergency crews said that one of the men died at the scene while the other was transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries, but was later pronounced dead. Both males were in the mid-20s, but there names have not been released to the public as of yet.
