Ceramic heaters imported by Meijer involved in recall
Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters that were sold at Meijer stores have been involved in a recall after it was found that they may pose a fire hazard to consumers.
The heater was imported by Meijer and sold in Meijer stores in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio. Meijer has received two reports that the heaters have caused fires that resulted in property damage.
In November 2010, 6,700 of the heaters were involved in the original recall. This has now expanded to 13,000 units. Consumers who have purchased these heaters can receive full refunds when they return the fans to Meijer stores.
