Fire officials respond to three overnight fires

Fire officials in Flint, Michigan responded to three overnight fires on Tuesday, one home was currently occupied and two were vacant.

The first fire was quickly brought under control after emergency crews arrived at the scene and determined that the fire was in the back room and attic of an abandoned home. Witnesses said that they saw a man leaving the home before the fire broke out.

The next home had small fires in multiple different areas of the home and crews were able to get the fires out quickly. At 5:20 a.m., firefighters responded to the occupied home fire that was caused by an electrical wire failure in the kitchen. The woman inside was rescued by emergency crews.
