Honda adds 273,000 vehicles to airbag defect recall

Recently, Honda added 273,000 vehicles to a previous recall of 603,000 vehicles with airbag defects.

According to consumer complaints, some of the airbags in the recalled vehicles release flying pieces of metal when deployed.  The airbag defect has injured 12 people and killed at least 1 person.

Vehicles involved in the recall include Honda Acuras, Accords, Civics, Odysseys, and Pilots.  Used car dealerships have been asked to stop selling Honda models involved in the recall until any air bag defects are fixed.

Owners of recalled Honda vehicles should have been notified by the car manufacturer about the airbag defect.
