Major construction accident leaves 20 injured

A major construction accident at a new casino building site in Cincinnati left 20 construction workers injured. None of the injuries in the accident were considered to be life-threatening, but 14 workers were sent to nearby hospitals. Workers with minor injuries were treated by paramedics at the construction site.

Paramedics responded to 9-1-1 calls by workers at the construction site at around 8 a.m. Witnesses to the accident reported that flooring where several workers were pouring concrete collapsed, causing the workers to fall from the second-floor to the first. Authorities believe that a metal beam supporting the 60-foot by 60-foot area of floor fell.
