Semi-truck rollover causes I-96 closure

A semi-truck rollover accident on I-96 caused the road to be closed as the truck blocked the lanes of the highway.

According to Michigan State Patrol, the accident occurred just before 3 p.m. when the truck was exited the roadway and lost control. The preliminary investigation stated that the steel parts that the truck was carrying may have shifted caused the truck to tip over.

A portion of the steel parts came out of the roof of the trailers in the accident and were a significant part of the cleanup process. No serious injuries have been reported in the accident.
