Two MDOT workers injured after being struck by vehicle
Two employees for the Michigan Department of Transportation were struck by a vehicle while working to repair pot holes on Gull Road near Kalamazoo Township.
One of the workers was a 50-year-old man that was taken to Borgess Medical Center in critical condition after suffering a head injury. The other worker, a 23-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The 74-year-old woman who struck the men was from Battle Creek. Police are investigating the accident, but do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the accident.
Workplace accidents can happen unexpectedly and can cause serious injury. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the man.
